BESPOKE aims to cultivate an environment where ideas and voices can be clearly heard. Our

mission is to “protect Democracy through the voice of the real majority.” Those who straddle

party lines and yearn for honest dialogue are our partners who help create solutions that

improve society. The goal is to restore faith in the democratic process through engagement in

civil discourse, empowering society to shape a sustainable representative democracy.

Around the world, democracies have been imperiled by an alarming rise of authoritarianism propelled by aggressive autocrats and corrupt politicians who steal power and flood the media with fascist disinformation intended to destabilize governments and manipulate citizens.  Unfortunately, America is not impervious to the threats of fascism.

Revered worldwide as the stalwart defender of freedom, the U.S. was added to the Freedom House’s list of declining democracies for the first time in 2021. Now facing the most consequential election since the Civil War, there is an urgent need to mitigate the threats of

fascist extremism and ensure every American is aware of what is at stake. These threats cannot be overstated. This colossal challenge to counter disinformation with so many people siloed in echo chambers shielded from facts is a prime reason BESPOKE exists.  

BESPOKE sees opportunity to overcome this challenge by bringing national issues into neighborhood conversations, and vice versa.

BESPOKE is galvanizing a movement to engage people outside of media with community events that revitalize civil discourse, restore faith in the institutions that safeguard our liberties, spark interest in participating in the electoral process, and mobilize social action to defend and protect democracy.

BESPOKE EXISTS to ensure every American knows what’s at stake by elevating the voices of those who courageously SPEAK truth to power. 

By facilitating opportunities for leaders to hear and be heard by the constituents they represent, BESPOKE empowers voters to be involved in the democratic process and hold them accountable. 

Connecting people with unvarnished truth about the political malfeasance and foreign interference that have democracy on the line, is a critically important first step toward saving it.

This effort has potential to unify polarized societies and reverse the acceleration of declining democracies and put hostile dictators on notice that American democracy is here to stay.
